Philippe Gilbert reveals horrific knee cap personal injury immediately after traveling head first over wall and cycling for a different 60km throughout Phase 16 of the Tour de France

Quick-Move Floors rider Philippe Gilbert has revealed the horrific personal injury he experienced through Stage 16 of the Tour de France.

Belgian Gilbert lost command of his bicycle on a quickly descent and crashed into a wall right before disappearing head initial into a ravine on Tuesday.

He remounted and completed the stage but his Tour has come to an close immediately after breaking his knee cap.
