A bungling burglar leaves a path of problems as he tries to make a cleanse getaway with a big, brightly coloured backyard gnome.

The incident was caught on CCTV and reveals the thief, apparently drunk, going for walks up the route and picking up the gnome from a entrance backyard in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

Footage captures the male crashing through a fence as he struggles to pick up the weighty gnome, which experienced a red hat and blue jacket.

Inevitably he manages to get to his feet and stumbles off down the path carrying the gnome with both equally hands.

The two-foot superior gnome was uncovered ruined outdoors a nearby block of flats – much to the upset of its elderly proprietors, whose back garden is their pride and joy.

But officers were being so saddened by the theft on July 1, they made the decision to take matters into their individual palms

Northamptonshire Law enforcement reported: ‘Following the theft & criminal injury of their gnome & crops in Weekly Glebe Road, Kettering, the elderly victims were being happy with the new gnomes our officers bought them in their spare time 🙂
