In the context of Reddit, it will make sense. Just simply because you ban a person, it should not detract from the sub depend since you are not banning them from the content material, just from collaborating in the sub (remarks & posts). In the context of /r/thanosdidnothingwrong, it truly is fucking stupid, but they’re not gonna go reprogramming the underpinnings of reddit for a meme….yet.
They would have to lock and make the sub private with an “Accredited Person Listing” to get the sub depend down.
