Iain Rankin to step down as N.S. Liberal Party leader

[ad_1]

The Liberals had no clear choice for the leader after MacNeil stepped down and it came down to Rankin, Labi Kousoulis and Randy Delorey…

And from my understanding, none of them were overly keen on taking over the leadership of the party.

When Delorey was eliminated, it came down to Kousoulis and Rankin…and Rankin narrowly “won” (52.41% to 47.59%)…

But even then, he was still very much a reluctant leader…he was a placeholder.
